How Restylane® Works...

Restylane® works thanks to a clear, pure non-animal based gel called Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our bodies. HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL TREATMENT TAKE?

A typical Restylane® injection takes about 20 to 30 minutes to perform. We always do our best to minimize any discomfort during your treatment. We start by applying a topical cream, which helps to numb the skin in the area we are treating. The products also contain a local anesthetic, which helps immensely with sensitivity as well as icing the area. 

These in combination with our experienced and gentle touch helps create a positive and comforting experience. 

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?

The goal of lifting the cheeks is to create a natural and beautiful look without the "overdone" or "puffy" look. With advanced injection techniques, we can lift and re-contour the cheekbones and lift the skin laterally, reducing the appearance of jowls around the mouth. 

You can expect to feel lifted and rejuvenated after your first visit and the benefits of treatment will continue over time. Two to six weeks after your first visit, water will come and join the product to enhance further hydration and rejuvenation in the skin creating a smooth and radiant look.

Meet Dr. Shelly Kassam, Founder & President

Dr. Shelly Kassam was born in Africa and raised and educated in London, England. She graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and has a Licentiate of Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons, England. 

Determined to fight back after her two car accidents and Fibromyelgia, Dr. Shelly co-founded Yaletown Laser & Cosmetic Dentistry. Her commitment to create a better sense of self and regain esteem and confidence is fueled by her own personal history. She is passionate about creating a centre that helps people realize their full potential and guide them towards their own journey of change and spiritual wellness. 

Dr. Shelly Kassam conducts certification courses for laser certification for the dentists, hygienists and dental assistants with her husband, Dr. Omar Kassam. She has presented internationally on the role of lasers in dentistry, beauty and wellness programs.
